Technology for critical infrastructure

Heat removal without opening the cabinet to ambient air.

Technical cabinets may operate in dust, humidity and changing outdoor temperatures. Closed-loop cooling removes internal heat while preserving enclosure protection.

The selection depends on heat load, enclosure size, target internal temperature, ambient range, solar gain and installation orientation.

01

Protected enclosure

Internal and external air circuits remain separated.

02

Compact installation

Door, wall or enclosure mounting depending on the unit.

03

Environmental resistance

Solutions for demanding indoor and outdoor conditions.

04

Automatic control

Temperature regulation, alarms and communication by configuration.

Solution families

Select the architecture for the actual application.

The final configuration is confirmed after reviewing capacity, installation conditions, required availability and future expansion.

Cabinet Air Conditioner

Active compressor cooling

Cabinet Air Conditioner

Closed-loop compressor units for cabinets with heat loads exceeding passive ventilation capability.

  • Independent internal air circulation
  • Compact wall or door mounting
  • Temperature control
  • Indoor and outdoor variants
Cabinet Heat Exchanger

Air-to-air transfer

Cabinet Heat Exchanger

Energy-efficient heat transfer where ambient air is cool enough, without mixing outside air with cabinet air.

  • Separated air circuits
  • Low power consumption
  • No refrigerant circuit
  • Suitable when ambient temperature permits

Integrated cabinet climate control

Project selection

Integrated cabinet climate control

Cooling, heating, ventilation and monitoring selected as one enclosure environmental system.

  • Heat-load calculation
  • Ambient-temperature assessment
  • Ingress-protection coordination
  • Alarm and monitoring integration

Applications

Infrastructure matched to the operating environment.

Equipment selection should reflect the consequences of downtime, site conditions, service strategy and the expected development of the IT load.

Frequently asked questions

FAQ: Cabinet Air Conditioning

Why not use filtered fans?+

Fans introduce ambient air and contaminants. Closed-loop cooling is preferred when enclosure protection must be maintained.

When is a heat exchanger suitable?+

When ambient temperature is sufficiently below the required internal temperature and the calculated heat load can be transferred.

Can the equipment be installed outdoors?+

Selected models are designed for outdoor use; environmental ratings must be confirmed for the location.

Is heating also required?+

It may be needed in cold climates or for battery and control equipment with a minimum operating temperature.

How is cooling capacity calculated?+

From internal losses, enclosure heat transfer, solar gain, ambient extremes and target internal conditions.
